Mountain biking

As I approach middle-age, something about spending hours on my butt making a chain go around and around gets more and more appealing...

Century a month club ya-yas

Heather is running a "Century a month" club and today was the first. Not a bad day, really, but it was remarkably cold. Heather, Wiley "Veggie Girl" Jen and someone she met (Mark) at the Grafton Winter festival went out for a low speed ride around a 25 mile loop. Heather bailed after the first because she was frozen, and Wiley had to go to work. I led Jen and Mark around the 2nd loop and got us good and lost on the way back. The worst was that we ended up on route 146, which is a fairly busy road. I didn't feel safe until we got back to the bike shop. I had to leave at noon so I bailed on Jen and Mark who rode another 12 to make it a metric century.

Back in action

I came back to give it a try. Heather is away so someone else led the class and it was fairly easy. I didn't make it through the ride, though, I wasn't feeling well enough yet I guess.

Sick

Great, now I'm sick. I feel like crap and guess it will be a while before I go back to spin class. I've had a fever and actually stayed home from work one day.

Wednesday night classes are amazing

My first Wednesday night class. Unbeleivable! She killed us. I guess Wednesday night is the hard night. She is incredibly strong to be able to lead us through class like that. I'm amazed.

First spin class

First spin class. The instructor is the infamous "Heather" I've heard about from the Troy riders. I'm a little intimidated, but she seems cool and the class is certainly a workout. I'm paying my fee and going!
